The primary examination was conducted on August 30, 2026, with a staggering 2,63,544 candidates participating. Following this, a re-examination was held on September 5, 2026, in Jaipur, for a specific group of candidates who faced disruptions during the initial test. A total of 2,416 candidates appeared for this re-examination.
Candidates who appeared for NEET-PG 2026 can now access their results and ranks on the official NBEMS website, natboard.edu.in. The announcement marks a significant milestone for thousands of medical graduates eagerly anticipating their placement in specialized postgraduate programs.
A Smooth Conduct Amidst Minor Hiccup: The NEET-PG 2026 Examination Timeline
The NEET-PG 2026 examination process, while largely successful, encountered a minor setback that necessitated a re-examination for a select group of candidates. The primary exam was scheduled and conducted across numerous centers nationwide on August 30, 2026. This date saw the largest cohort of candidates, comprising 2,63,544 individuals, test their mettle for a coveted spot in postgraduate medical education.
)
However, for a segment of candidates scheduled to appear at two specific centers in Jaipur, the examination was unfortunately disrupted. An internal power failure at these venues prevented a significant number of candidates from completing their test. In a swift and decisive move to ensure fairness and equal opportunity, NBEMS promptly organized a re-examination for these affected candidates. This supplementary examination was held on September 5, 2026, in Jaipur, and saw the participation of 2,416 candidates. This proactive measure underscores NBEMS’s commitment to maintaining the integrity and credibility of the NEET-PG examination process.
The results for both the main examination and the re-examination have now been consolidated and released simultaneously, allowing all eligible candidates to check their performance.
